Palaria Mod

As mentioned before, the Palaria mod adds a ton of new things to the game for example great new biomes, special blocks based off different kinds of materials, new tools to use, strong weapons to beat your foes with and even a whole bunch of new mobs that you’ll get to slay on your Minecraft travels. The mod implements some really unique weapons as well that are built from the special materials that it adds. Gravestone Mod 1.8.9/1.7.10 (Wither Catacombs, Graveyards)

$
0
0

Gravestone Mod 1.8.9/1.7.10 adds a gravestone to the game, which “spawns” at player/villager/dog/cat death. Also this mod generate cemeteries in some villages, and a “Wither’s catacombs”. This is a new huge structure, like stronghold, where you can find a lot of loot, dangerous adventures and a “Wither Boss” at the end.

Gravestone Mod

Features:

Gravestones:

Gravestone-Mod-1.jpg

The gravestones are the main “components” of this mod, which are generated at player death. They will store all your items(can be changed in configs), some information about your death and the amount of days which you had been living.

There are several types of the gravestones. Each of them can be made of different materials. The generated grave type will be chosen randomly, but its material will be based on biome and your level. Also there is a 25% chance one that of your swords will be used as a gravestone. If you are killed by magic your gravestone will looks enchanted.

Gravestone-Mod-2.jpg

A gravestone can be generated at villager’s/pet’s(dogs’, cats’, horses’) death too. Those graves will contain a corpse of killed creature(which can be resurrected on the Altar). Also these graves will have special models(dog/cat/horse statue).

Gravestone-Mod-3.jpg
Gravestone-Mod-4.jpg

To take items back you need to destroy a grave or to click on it with a shovel in your hand(in this case grave will not be destroyed).

The gravestones can be picked and put at any place, but only on any “diggable” blocks(it can be changed in the configs). But all information will be saved only if a gravestone was picked by a silk touch pickaxe.

Some of the gravestones may have flowers on it. This feature was made only for a decorative purpose. Just click on a gravestone with a flower in your hand and it will be placed. To remove it click on it again with shears.

Gravestone-Mod-5.jpg

Another one important feature of the gravestones – is a mob spawning at night and at thunder, but only if a player is in the range of 35 blocks from a grave and there is not any source of light near it. Mostly spawned mobs are zombies and skeletons(with a bow or with a stone sword), but in some cases it can spawn a wither skeleton or a zombie pigman. Pets’ gravestones can spawn zombie and skeleton cats and dogs. Also if you have installed a “Mo’creatures” mod some cretures from it will be spawned by graves too(“Silver skeleton”, “Wraith” and “Flame wraith”).

The next time-based night feature is a fog. Every grave creates some fog around it during nights, it dencity depends on amount of graves.

Death of players, villagers or pets is not the only way to generate gravestones. These blocks will be generated all over the world during it’s creation. They contain some information about death of unlucky travellers and their items. Mostly these items are rotten flesh and bones, but sometimes they can contain a skeleton or zombie skull. Nevertheless there can be a few types of graves which can contain some additional items:

  • “A warrior’s grave” – it contains some parts of armor, sword and bow. All warrior’s graves use their sword as a gravestone.
  • “A wizard’s grave” – as you may expect, this type of graves can contain some potions, magic books and ingredients. The wizard’s gravestones can be made of quartz, redstone or lapis lazuli.
  • “A miner’s grave” – in this graves you can find a pickaxe and some useful resources, such as diamonds, emeralds, gold… Mostly the gravestones made of the pickaxes material.
  • “A worker’s grave” – this type of graves mostly contains some useless staff and, in some cases, instruments – an axe or a shovel.
  • “A traveller’s grave” – this is one of the most interesting grave types, cause it can contains such rare items as music discs and eggs of peaceful creatures. These graves are made of emerald.

Memorials:

Gravestone-Mod-6.jpg

These are decorative blocks. Like gravestones there are some types of them which made of different materials. Furthermore they can contain some text. All of them, except creepers statues, can be crafted or generated in the world and in some villages.

Gravestone-Mod-7.jpg

Unlike others memorials, creepers statues can’t be found in the world, or crafted. They are dropped at charged creepers death. Also you can find them in catacombs.

Gravestone-Mod-8.jpg

Next types of memorials – gibbets and some others objects of tortures. You can find them only in some villages or craft it, but in this case you must place a mob’s corpse on it by self. Currently you can craft them only with villagers’ corpses – just click on it with a corpse in hand.

Spawners:

Gravestone-Mod-9.jpg

These objects work like “vanilla” spawners, except one thing. A skeleton spawner can spawn any type of skeletons(Skeleton cat, Skeleton dog, Skeleton and Wither skeleton(with a low chance). The skeletons will be spawned with a stone sword/bow in hands. Like a skeleton spawner a zombie spawner can spawn any type of zombies creatures.

Gravestone-Mod-10.jpg

Wither spawner is a special type of spawners, which can be found only at the end of the catacombs. Instead of others spawners it can be used to spawn Wither only once. After it will be destroyed. This spawner can’t be crafted(can be changed in the configs).

Mobs:

Gravestone-Mod-11.jpg

Undead pets are new mobs which are added by this mod. There are four types of them: zombie dogs, zombie cats, skeleton dogs and skeleton cats. They are rarely can be found in the world – mostly only in the natural habitat of their live form. You can likely see them on cemeteries, cause they raised from their graves at night time. Skeleton cats and dogs are faster then their lived form. At the same time zombie cats and dogs, like a minecraft zombies, are hostile not only to players – they will try to kill every villager, dog, cat and horse. Surely this unlucky pets will be transformed to zombie too.

Gravestone-Mod-12.jpg

Skull crawlers – small spider-like undead mobs, which look like a skull with small legs. These mobs can crawl over walls, go thought webs and cast some debafs: skeleton skull crawler – slowness, zombie skull crawler – hunger, wither skeleton skull crawler – wither. Further more skeleton skull crawlers have another ability – like a silverfish it can hide in bone blocks. This mobs can’t be naturally spawned in the world(except wither skull crawlers, which can be spawned in Nether). Instead of it they can be spawned with some chance at death of some monsters(zombies, skeletons and wither skeletons). But at the same time there is one good thing – these mobs can drop their skulls as rare drop at death.

Tinkers’ Construct Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10 (Weapon, Tool Manufacturing)

$
0
0

Tinkers’ Construct Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10 is a great mod for constructing, repairing and even modifying tools and weapons in Minecraft. You can also smelt metals to create more powerful weapons and tools to add to your arsenal. You’ll start off with a handbook. This should be your number 1 tool in figuring out everything you can do with this mod. It’s full of recipes and guides to make this mod easier to understand. There are also 4 other craftable books to help with more advanced features.

Tinkers’ Construct Mod

Features:

  • The mod stems from patterns you create that ultimately craft the different parts to your desired tools and weapons. The tables you’ll need are the crafter, part builder, stencil table, tool station, and tool forge to get the basics going.
  • The Stencil Table allows you to turn blank patterns into essentially part blueprints. You then use these to create the basic pieces that will craft your tool or weapon. It’s very simple but can get a little overwhelming with how many combinations you can make. That’s where your books will come in handy so reference them often.
  • The advanced tools come in when you build a smeltery. This allows you to smelt metal into more powerful parts for your tools. The mod also adds a few new ores to the game that only further advance your tools beyond that of diamond capabilities.
  • So once you’ve got a smeltery and some metals smelted you can make casts from wooden tool parts. Then use those casts with stronger metals to make stronger parts. It’s like turning Minecraft into an RPG with leveling tools and upgrading their abilities and adding new parts to them.
  • And once you really get the hang of the mod you’ll be able to give your tools special modifiers like auto-repairing. So when your tool starts to deteriorate it’ll actually fix itself over time. Basically you can enchant your tools without needing experience first. It works entirely off of the items you have in your inventory. So instead of going into spells and XP to enhance your tools you can opt for hard work and determination with this mod.
  • This mod will rely heavily on referencing the in game guides. They will help you immensely in your new trade skills. Get to the point where you can craft yourself a really powerful hammer and blast through your mines in 3×3 chunks. It’s really effective at quick mining with excellent yield and results. There are tons more to do with this mod so have fun discovering new tools!

Screenshots:

To get started you need a few tables and a place to put your patterns.

Armor has started, but is very unfinished and would need to be done by the community. Here’s your hints:

ComputerCraft Mod 1.9.4/1.7.10 (Working Computers)

ComputerCraft Mod 1.9.4/1.7.10 is a modification for Minecraft that’s all about computer programming. It allows you to build in-game Computers and Turtle Robots, and write programs for them using the Lua programming language. Each Computer has an operating system, a filesystem, a suite of builtin programs (including a text editor, a realtime Lua interpreter, and two games), and can be programmed to do anything you want with the easy-to-use Lua programming language. Computers can interact with redstone wiring and bundled cables from the RedPower2 mod, meaning they can be used to fully automate and control your worlds. With peripheral devices, the capabilities of computers can be expanded further, with Disk Drives adding the ability to transfer files between computers and play music, Wireless Modems adding Wireless Networking between machines, Monitors adding external large external displays and Printers adding printing capabilities. The addition of programming to Minecraft opens up a wide variety of new possibilities for automation and creativity. If you’ve never programmed before, it also serves as excellent way to learn a real world skill in a fun, familiar environment.

Throwable Torch Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10

Throwable Torch Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10 adds a “throwable torch” and corresponding recipe. To make a throwable torch, combine a torch and slimeball/clay/magma cream in the crafting grid. When thrown, a torch will be placed where the item hits. Torches will do a little damage on hits. Magma versions will ignite entities (not set fires) on a hit. This is great for lighting up a ravine or exploring dark caves. The torches will generally be placed only where you can place a normal torch. For example, they can’t be placed on ceilings or the undersides of objects. The purpose is to light up caves, but the magma ones can also be used for defense.

Joypad Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 allows you to play Minecraft in Split-screen on a PC, and control Minecraft with a joypad. Besides the obvious benefit of playing the Minecraft with the controller, you can also use it to play split screen. You run the multiple instances of the game, each in it’s own window. Joypad Mod supports focus-less input, so you can have as many windows as you want (or as many as your PC can handle). You arrange the windows around to your liking (multiple monitor setups recommended). All players connect to the same server (can be localhost). It works both in SSP and SMP. All of you have a great time.

Ender Zoo Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10 (Undead Warriors, Enderminys)

Ender Zoo Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10 adds new mobs into Minecraft. You will find new skeletons, witches, crazy cats, wolves, and much more. This mod also adds in potions, tnt, and new enchantments.

Ender Zoo Mod

This mod focuses primarily on a small collection of endearing fairytale entities that are mostly passive, yet will defend themselves well and are bearing peculiar gifts for the Player, which can be used to create engaging paraphernalia. A small mod with a big heart and a few surprises.

Features:

Enderminy

Enderminies spawn in forested or swampy areas in small groups . They are friendly little guys with a particular dislike for creepers. Despite their diminutive stature they pack a nasty punch if provoked. They will defend their near by brethren and have a chance to teleport away when hit. On death they will drop Ender Pearls and/or Ender Fragments. Ender fragments can be combined to create an ender pearl or used in the creation of the charges.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-2.png

Fallen Knight

Fallen Knights have returned to re contest long lost battles. The can be found armed with either swords or bows, though have been known to prefer the sword when engaged in close range fights. Generally found in the open plains on the site of a past battles they will often be mounted on their undead steeds.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-3.png

Fallen Steed

These fearsome mounts are only found when being ridden by a Fallen Knight. A mounted knight is a foe to be feared as it is charges at great speed towards its foes. A mounted archer presents a different challenge, retreating when ever possible to stay out of melee range while raining arrows on its target.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-4.png

Concussion Creeper

The Concussion Creeper makes no holes and kills no foes, but beware the headache.. They can drop gunpowder, confusing powder or ender fragments.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-5.png

Wither Witch

The Wither Witch has discovered the secrets of the Wither, gaining the knowledge required to brew the most evil of potions. While their methods are unknown, slaying one of these evil creatures may gain the victor the means to create the potions for themselves.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-6.png

Wither Witch’s Cat

Companions of Wither Witches these cute little guys tend to get a little angry and aggressive if you pick a fight with their owner.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-7.png

Dire Wolf

Dire Wolves are found in small packs in snow covered forests. The will tend to ignore visitors to their realm, but do not venture too close to these powerful beasts.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-8.png

Enchantments and Potions

Ender Zoo adds the Withering (applied to bows), and Decay (applied to swords) enchantments enchantments. When a target is hit with these weapons they receive the withering effect for five seconds.

With Ender Zoo installed it is also possible to make Potions Of Decay using the Withering Powder dropped by Wither Witches. Potions of Nausea can be made using Confusing Powder, dropped by Concussion Creepers.

Blocks and Items

Ender Zoo adds three new varieties on ‘TNT”, Confusing Charge, Ender Charge and Concussion Charge. When detonated the confusing charge causes all players in its blast range to suffer from the ‘confusion’ effect. The closer the player is to the blast the longer the confusion lasts. This has no effect and mobs. The Ender Charge randomly teleports players and mobs to a nearby location. The Concussion Charge combines these two effects.

Ender-Zoo-Mod-9.png

Complete Spawn Control

Ender Zoo adds an xml file that can be used to custom the spawning of any mob, vanilla or modded. Change the rate of spawning, the biomes mobs are found in or remove them completely. See SpawnConfig_Core.xml in the config/enderzoo folder for details.

Global Difficulty Control

Ender Zoo allows the attack damage and health of all mobs to modified based on the current difficulty. These changes can be applied to Ender Zoo mobs, all others or both. See for config file for details.

OpenComputers Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 (Computers, Robots)

$
0
0

OpenComputers Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 adds programmable, modular and persistent computers to the game.

This mod adds computers and robots that can be programmed in Lua 5.3. Computers persist across saves (i.e. execution resumes where the computer was saved when it is loaded again), they are highly modular (there are graphics cards, network cards, redstone cards, …). If a compatible power generating mod is present, by default they will need power to run – however, like pretty much everything else about the mod, this can be changed in the config.

OpenComputers Mod

OpenComputers is designed to fit well with survival gameplay, and is played best in combination with other mods, which allow automating ore processing, and ideally crafting to some extent! Computers are not cheap to craft, so don’t expect to build your first computer early when starting a new game. If you want an extra challenge, try the hard mode recipe set (see .minecraft/config/opencomputers/user.recipes for more information).

There are a lot of components in the mod that can be used to extend computers, such as motion sensors, holograms and there are also robots. Inter-operation with many other mods is provided via the Adapter block (for example reading power information from energy cells and so on).

Features:

Computers

OpenComputers-Mod-3.png

The name may have given it away: the main feature this mod adds are programmable computers. OpenComputers itself allows writing programs using the Lua programming language, specifically Lua 5.2. Computers can be programmed at a very low level, but the built-in operating system emulates a Lua environment as close to “vanilla” Lua as possible within the restraints of the sandbox it is running in.

To make your life easier, computers persist their script state across saves; this means they’ll continue executing where they left off when the chunk they are in was unloaded. If a compatible power mod is installed alongside OpenComputers, computers will require energy to run, and numerous components will require energy for certain operations.

Robots and Drones

OpenComputers-Mod-4.png

Aside from the stationary computers and components, OpenComputers also provides robots and drones, computers that can move around the world and interact with it similar to how players can. Robots are more powerful than drones, they can use tools and contain a much larger number of components. Drones are much more mobile than robots and can perform a few actions robots cannot, such as leashing animals.

There are also several other computer devices in the mod, such as servers, essentially allowing for four computers in one block, microcontrollers, cheaper but more limited computers, as well as tablets, which are basically portable computers.

Modularity

OpenComputers-Mod-5.gif

A key focus of OpenComputers is modularity, allowing you to choose very dynamically from which parts to build your computers, robot and other devices. There are multiple tiers of computer cases, screens, graphics cards, network cards and so on. In that way there is also a certain level of progression in the mod, as you work towards building better, faster and more powerful computers.

Integration

OpenComputers-Mod-6.png

OpenComputers provides integration with many other mods: support for bundled redstone (Project Red, Redlogic and MineFactory Reloaded), covering cables (FMP and Immibis Microblocks), and obviously accepting power from several mods (RF, EU, Factorization Charge, Mekanism Joules, AE2 energy).

More interestingly however, OpenComputers provides a block that allows more in-depth interaction with other mods’ blocks, the Adapter. For supported blocks, the adapter will make those blocks available as components to connected computers, allowing them to read information such as energy levels and possible issue commands, such as playing notes on a note block. Many mods also provide built-in support for OpenComputers, meaning you can just hook up their blocks to a cable without needing an Adapter.

Config

OpenComputers-Mod-7.png

Most things in OpenComputers are configurable. Don’t like the power requirements? Change them or disabled them entirely. Screens not rendering from far enough away? Increase the render distance. The config file is heavily documented, so it should be pretty clear from each config entry’s comment what it does.
Aside from general configuration, it is also possible to adjust each of the item recipes in OpenComputers via recipe files – no need for Minetweaker! There are also a few different recipes set available, have a look in the config/opencomputers directory.

Dense Ores Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 (Triple Your Diamonds)

$
0
0

Dense Ores Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 adds ‘dense’ versions of ore blocks that will drop 3x the items that regular ore will. It generates about 1-10 dense blocks per chunk (replacing already generated ores). for an overall increase in ores of about 5%. The textures for the dense ores are dynamically generated from the base ores texture and the equivalent ‘stone’ texture. This means that you won’t need to create a new texture for your texture packs (although you can create one anyway if you’re not happy with the way it looks).

Chisels & Bytes is an addon for Chisels & Bits Mod by AlgorithmX2. The mod allows you to export Chisels & Bits blocks or designs as a descriptive file for the OpenComputers Mod 3D printer and works client-side only.

Chisels & Bytes Mod

There are two prominent advantages of a 3D print over the Chisels & Bits block:

  • Since the 3D printer is available in OpenComputers for Minecraft 1.7.10, this mod allows you, within limits, to port your Chisel & Bits creations back to Minecraft 1.7.10.
  • 3D prints have some features C&B blocks don’t. First and foremost, they can have two states. Depending on the settings, you can emulate the behaviour of a door, switch or button. Second they can be set to emit light, no matter what they are made from. Finally you can set collision for each state. For more information install the print3d-examples package via oppm and look at the example file (/usr/share/models/example.3dm).

Usage:

  • After installing the mod, hold a Chisels & Bits block in your hand and (by default) press the Next/Page Up key. The script will be copied to your clipboard and can be directly pasted into the in-game OpenComputers Editor or, out of game, into your favourite text editor for adjustment. The data is formatted for use with the print3d program available via the OpenComputers package manager oppm.
  • If you have a Chisels & Bits block in the hotbar slot to the right of your active item (or offhand), it will be used as the active state for the 3D print.
  • Latest version adds limited fluid support. Sneaking toggles between using the still and flowing texture for fluid bits. Also if the C&B block/design contains light emitting bits, the respective option will be set in the descriptive file.

Limits:

  • By default the OpenComputers 3D printer only allows 24 shapes. The mod tries to minimize the number of shapes, but complex blocks will probably go beyond that easily. The limit can be changed in the OpenComputers configuration file (maxShapes in the printer section).
  • If you port a design to Minecraft 1.7.10 you will probably have to manually adjust the textures in the file. Textures are also not guaranteed to work Minecraft 1.9 -> Minecraft 1.8.
  • [Minecraft 1.9+] Minecraft 1.9 removed the method I used to read the color of FlatColoredBlocks blocks, so I now have to specifically code for the mod. This can break at any update to FlatColoredBlocks but shouldn’t cause crashes, only missing tint specification.
  • Partial fluid bit support is now available. This is limited by the capabilities of 3d prints, the fluid will not be semi-transparent and you can only use either the still or flowing texture.
  • Designs are now supported for export, rotation is ignored though. Negative Designs are intentionally disabled, for the purposed of this mod they hold no useful information.
